Purpose and Objective: SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Senior Developer at our Palo Alto, CA location (and various client sites nationwide) to be responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, and quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.

Expectations and Tasks: Resolve complex issues within own area of expertise and support others in resolving issues. Show initiative and drive topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency. Work closely together with others and share expertise to ensure product success. Constantly improve own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills. Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and work on other tasks for the benefit of the team. Apply advanced overall product and technical knowledge and share expertise within and across team and organization. Apply advanced knowledge of development processes and product standards. When serving as a Scrum Master in the LEAN context, please consider the Scrum Masters responsibilities: ensure that Scrum is understood and put into practice properly; Scrum Master is a servant-leader for the Product Owner and the Development Team; facilitate Scrum Events on request or as required; coach the Development Team in self-organization; and remove impediments to the Development Team's progress. In addition, when serving as a Scrum Master, demonstrate the solution to key stakeholders; define releases; communicate team status; organize reviews; educate stakeholders in the development process; negotiate priorities, scope, funding, and schedule; and ensure that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear at all times. 20% travel required to various client sites nationwide.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 6 years of experience required. Will accept a Master's degree and 4 years of experience.

Work Experience: Experience must include: Software Architecture experience and Software modeling concepts, languages and tools (OO, FD, UML); Java and JavaScript; Python, PHP, C#, HTML, XML/XSLT/XPATH, and REGEX; Development experience on straight-through processing systems for high throughput distributed transactions and message-oriented middleware; designing and implementing reflective component frameworks and middleware; distributed computation in extremely large-scale and decentralized distributed systems; designing and implementing parsers and compilers; macro-level communication protocol programming languages; WebGL, 3D engines, and GSLS; static code quality analysis; Integration of various automated build and testing frameworks (such as Maven, Jenkins, Ant, Selenium); and agile tools of the industry. 20% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
