What you'll do:

Position Title: Digital Marketing and Social Media Intern

Location: Hudson Yards, New York City

Expected start date to end date: June 11, 2018 - August 17, 2018

We are seeking a smart, ambitious, digital native to join our team. This role will work with SAP's global social media team to design and improve global social media programs, including day-to-day social content planning, production, measurement, and optimization. In this role, you'll work with seasoned social pros, access enterprise-class tools, and gain exposure to a broad range of marketing functions. It's an ideal role for a self-starter with mad social media and visual communication skills who aspires to a career in social media or digital marketing. Depending on current business needs, you will participate in the following activities:

  • Contribute to day-to-day publishing for SAP's main global social channels; Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. This includes curating content and assessing submissions from priority topic areas and third-party sources
  • Production of visual content to convey SAP's story, including graphics, photos, and GIFs
  • Maintain and share approved brand style and content guidelines across channels
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that content is shared and amplified to appropriate channels, including to employee advocates
  • Work with events and campaigns teams to deliver on short and long term social media strategies

    Who you are:

    We're looking for someone who can challenge the status quo and likes to stay curious. You enjoy working on meaningful projects and are energized by lifelong learning. You have:

  • Digital marketing experience with an emphasis on content marketing- 2 years preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in using social channels for business - Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, SlideShare, blogging, and messaging apps.
  • Familiarity with social analytics tools and metrics and how they fit into overall digital analytics landscape
  • A proactive student of digital; eager to learn about new digital trends, tools, platforms, and techniques


  • Sprinklr proficiency preferred
  • Proficiency using Photoshop and GIF apps; Video editing skills a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Organizational, prioritization, time management skills
  • Quickly understand and use new tools
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills


    Currently enrolled in a degree program studying Marketing, Communication/Journalism or English
